This article, like others that address the same subject, touches all around the cause of embarrassment without actually saying it: Exposing male genitals to a female healthcare provider. Why has this not been directly addressed? Why do many women insist on same sex ob/gyn docs but men are expected to be OK with opposite sex urologists? Even if a guy is comfortable exposing his genitals to a female urologist, that urology office is probably loaded with female med techs who are not “professionals” and who perform genital prep, catheter removal and other prep and procedures on exposed male patients. Reverse the genders in this situation and it obviously isn't acceptable. The double standard is incredible.
